Israel’s parliament has voted to dissolve itself, setting the country up for elections for the fifth time in less than four years.
“Such lies are intended to accuse the Jews themselves of the most horrific crimes in history that were committed against them,” Israeli Prime Minister.
The couple were arrested for espionage last Friday after taking photos of the Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul while on a tour.
Mr Bennett now becomes Israel’s 13th prime minister while Mr Lapid will be the 14th.
The new government is positioned to end political differences in all sections of the nation and to serve all Israeli citizens, including those who are not members of the Jewish state.
