Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq has splurged N120 million on Kwara pilgrims during an unscheduled visit to Kwara houses in Mecca.
Mr Usman stated, “Hajj remains a global spiritual gathering that reflects the unity, brotherhood, and strength of the Muslim Ummah.’’
The NAHCON chairman urged the media to help the commission disseminate the information to pilgrims.
Mr Elegushi ordered the money to be returned to the Egyptian Embassy for onward delivery to the rightful owner.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria says 25,075 Nigerian pilgrims have been transported to Makkah from Madina with their Nusuk cards.
He said that the commission would regularly update the public on the progress of the exercise.
Ms Kyaure stated, “The airline has transported pilgrims from three of its four stations in Nigeria namely: Kebbi, Sokoto and Lagos states.’’
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria says it will ensure the contracted catering facilities comply with standards while serving meals to Nigerian pilgrims.
Mr Mohammed said that the Nigerian air carriers; MaxAir, Flynas and Air Peace, handled the flights.
