The National Association of Nigerian Students has called on the federal government to establish a price control board.
Mr Obi noted that the association shared in the pains of Nigerians.
“Many families are struggling to make ends meet, with stagnant wages and rising prices pushing them further into poverty,” he added.
NANS has called for vigilance to ensure the judicious use of the intervention funds approved by the federal government for tertiary institutions.
NANS also urged the Federal Government to also sanction universities and polytechnic offering unaccredited courses.
“The budget proposed, which was 8.8 per cent, still fell short of the global education agency’s recommended 26 per cent expenditure on the sector.”
NAN stated that it was disheartening that such acts of violence continue to occur.
Two female Microbiology students of Federal University, Gusau, Zamfara, and another 10 female secondary school students of Kachia LGA in Kaduna State had been in captivity.
The association threatened to shut down petrol stations over the purported increment.
The suit was supposed to compel the FG and ASUU to call off the ongoing strike.
