She said UNICEF had been supporting the Kano State government on interventions because the organisation stood for children.
Mr Garo, however, called on individuals and organisations to plant plenty of trees and flowers to help save the environment.
Mr Garo urged the management of the affected schools to take cleaning their environment seriously or face the wrath of the government.
According to him, the state government will not hesitate to sanction defaulters of the monthly environmental sanitation.
