Mr Aliyu said it was in the interest of justice for the court to grant the reliefs sought in the originating summons.
In a communique read by the party’s Head of Strategy and Planning, Dr Clement Iwegbuna, the NNPP resolved to picket INEC headquarters in Abuja soon.
He said INEC has refused to receive correspondence from the party pending the court’s determination of the matter.
According to him, the convention will proceed.
He rejected any suggestions of forming a new caretaker committee.
The committee is to be chaired by Emeka Ikpegbu.
Mr Yilwatda said the initiative was a major political reform for the APC.
“Only a fool hell-bent on a suicidal path or an outright imposter can dare to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election,” said the vice-president.
He stressed that the Supreme Court remained the nation’s highest legal authority.
Mr Damagum expressed gratitude to the party’s leadership for the confidence reposed in him.
