The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has called on the Zamfara government to prepare an action plan that will address the humanitarian crisis in the state.
“We also conducted a vaginal swab and discovered that she was sexually assaulted. Her possible cause of death is lack of oxygen,” an autopsy specialist told the panel.
“She was detained alongside her two children for three days. They were only released after she paid N50,000.”
