Mr Osegbue is seeking the nullification of the appointment of Omenugha as the substantive vice chancellor of COOU.
The workers had embarked on the strike on January 19 over unresolved grievances, including welfare issues and alleged high-handedness.
He described the strike as justified.Â
Mr Ibrahim said, “The suspension is strategic and conditional, allowing room to objectively review tangible progress at the January NEC meeting beginning January 25.”
The court ordered that the judgment of the lower court delivered on 18 May in suit number NICN/ABJ/288/2023 was hereby set aside.
The workers said they were employed between October and December 2022 and allegedly disengaged unlawfully on January 31, 2024.
The judge said, “I hold that the first defendant holds the claimant a duty of care.’’
The National Industrial Court recently nullified the dethronement of Mr Zamuna.
Gbenga Oduwole, Joseph Babatunde, Michael Borokini, Adeniyi Siyanbola, and Ajayi Olusola are former PHCN workers who instituted the case on behalf of others.
Mr Giwa said the development was to enhance peace and good working relationships among the union members in the state’s transportation sector.
