She urged support for the actualisation of the free birth registration exercise.
The National Population Commission (NPC) is seeking to upscale birth registration in Cross River hard-to-reach areas.
“We are just waiting on the president to give us the date, and the commission is always prepared to do it once we have a date declared by the president,” said the NPC chair.
Mr Tinubu’s request was contained in a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpiabio and read at the plenary on Tuesday in Abuja.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should prioritise the inclusion of biometric data gathering in the 2024 census,” said the ex-NPC boss.
She said the LGAs covered were Kubau, Zaria, Kauru, Sabon Gari, Kudan, Makarfi, Giwa, Ikara, Soba and Lere.
Mr Opatola, who represented himself as the plaintiff, told the court that all processes had been filed and exchanged with the defendant.
NPC has called for the support of Nigerians to enable the commission to produce credible results in the ongoing Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey.
According to her, at least 1,083 ad hoc registrants were recruited to support a massive birth registration drive across the 361 wards in the state.
Mr Muhammad said family planning services were available in health facilities across rural and urban settlements.
