The campaign is in collaboration with the National Population Commission (NPC).
“For years, our nation has grappled with conflicting and unsubstantiated figures regarding this crisis.”
In partnership with NPC, NOA will commence birth registration of 395,382 children in Niger.
“This, we will do by training our personnel as it was done during the polio eradication programme,” he said.
According to the commissioner, Mr Tinubu has been satisfied with the level of achievement recorded by the commission.
He said Nigeria was among the fastest growing population in the world and required periodic census for proper planning of development programmes.
The commission printed one million training materials.
The census, earlier billed for between May 3 and May 7, was postponed due to the federal government’s transition programme.
The Lagos governor also reappointed Tayo Ayinde as the Chief of Staff (CoS) and Gboyega Shoyanwo as the Deputy Chief of Staff.
“Every single woman has the right to decide when to have children, and how many,” she said.
