He said in a matter of days, the “inglorious tenure” of Mr Ayu as national chairman of PDP will become history and the party will enjoy a new lease of life.
The now reinstated party members in Ekiti State are Funso Ayeni and Ajayi Samuel.
The suspension by the National Working Committee of the party is with effect from Friday, January 20, 2023.
Mr Tambuwal said he believes he’s the youngest amongst the 17 aspirants in the PDP and he believes he is closer to the youths as well as the old.
“I believe that it is the NEC that has the statutory rights to release the content of what we have done.”
The committee would manage the party’s affairs for a period not exceeding 90 days or till the election of a new state executive.
He warned those who will fail in their aspiration to fly the party’s flag not to engage in campaign of calumny against the APC.
The former deputy national publicity secretary, Yekini Nabena, had obtained a form to contest the national vice-chairman (South-South).
The party said a new date would be communicated in due course.
He said PDP would remain part of his life history since he became president on the party’s platform.
