The National Board for Technical Education has initiated a process to review and develop an agricultural curriculum to improve skills and productivity.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made new appointments for the National Examination Council (NECO) and the National Board of Technical Education (NBTE).
In a statement on Wednesday, COEASU president Ahmed Lawan said the move would ensure continuity and stability in ongoing reforms in teacher education.
NBTE says it has intensified efforts to strengthen health education by developing a new Higher National Diploma curriculum in Health Education and Promotion.
Mr Alausa said the initiative aimed to phase out obsolete equipment in the polytechnics.
Speaking at the launch in Lagos, Dangote said the plan will support 45,000 new students every year from 2026.
The executive secretary of NBTE, Idris Bugaje, said the initiative would democratise access to AI education and close connectivity gaps across tertiary technical institutions.
Mr Alausa stated that the reform became necessary after years of restricted access, which denied many qualified candidates admission opportunities.
Mr Aliyu said the approval was in line with the governor’s commitment to revitalising tertiary education.
The board directed provosts and rectors of technical schools to inform the affected staff of the directive.
