The company said a team of linesmen from TCN discovered the fault on the line at about 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

TCN said the development had thrown Damaturu in Yobe and Maiduguri in Borno out of power supply.
The TCN said that 13 towers from T52 to T64 were affected by the act of vandalism.

Mrs Mbah said that at about 2:56pm on Monday, the Benin-Egbin 330kv line 1 circuit breaker also tripped at the Benin Transmission Substation end.
TCN said that Yenagoa metropolis and other parts of Bayelsa had no power supply following the towers’ damage.
Mrs Mbah said that suspects would soon be prosecuted.
TCN said the reinforcement would occur between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The TCN urged the government and Nigerians to help fight against the destruction of national assets.
