He also stated that NDLEA officers seized at least 120,000 capsules of tramadol on November 27.
He said that the suspect planted a foreign variety of cannabis sativa in his maize farm.
The operatives arrested some of the organisers found with drug exhibits.
NDLEA intercepted over two tonnes of illicit substances in Lagos, Ogun, Edo, Ekiti, Anambra, Ondo, and Kogi.
Other NDLEA operatives evacuated 808kg of Indian hemp from a forest at Igueben in Edo on Monday, November 13.
He was arrested while in possession of methamphetamine and Indian hemp.
“Chidike was to be paid N3.5 million, which he intended to use to import goods from Hong Kong,’’ Mr Babafemi stated.
“Therefore, the officers and men of the NDLEA must remain impervious to these temptations,” the NDLEA chairman added.
In a statement on Sunday in Abuja, the NDLEA said the suspect, Obiorah Chigozie, had been on the wanted list of the agency since September 15.
The operatives also destroyed three hectares of Indian hemp in the forest.
