The NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, said four suspects were arrested in connection to the illicit consignments in commuter vehicles.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says the operatives intercepted 26,250,000 pills of tramadol and 508,400 bottles of codeine-based syrup at the Tincan port, Lagos and Port Harcourt,
He said the opioids were recovered in three containers coming from India, targeted by the NDLEA during a 100 per cent joint examination of the cargoes.

He said that the NDLEA operatives also arrested some of the suspects linked to them.
He said that follow-up operations led to the arrest of Husaini Abdullahi, 25, at Sokoto main market.
NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi said operatives arrested eight suspects and seized 11 vehicles from the suspected drug barons.
“Therefore, the officers and men of the NDLEA must remain impervious to these temptations,” the NDLEA chairman added.
“Their arrest followed weeks of intelligence gathering about the activities of the criminal network, ” he said.
In a statement on Sunday in Abuja, the NDLEA said the suspect, Obiorah Chigozie, had been on the wanted list of the agency since September 15.
