Mr Babafemi said that the suspect nabbed after 13 years in hiding was arrested by the NDLEA Operatives at the Lagos airport.
Mr Babafemi said that the suspect concealed the pills of tramadol in her luggage.
NDLEA boss Buba Marwa has said that the National Drug Control Master Plan (NDCMP 2026-2030) would strengthen Nigeria’s ongoing drug control efforts.
The drugs, weighing 1.589kg, were concealed in the suspect’s stomach.
Mr Marwa was reappointed by President Bola Tinubu for a second tenure of five years on Friday.
Mr Babafemi said no fewer than 250,000 tablets of Exol-5 were seized from a suspect in the Zango area of the Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano.
“When they say Africa, I want us to think of Nigeria, because Nigeria has one of the highest drug use prevalences in the world,” he stated.
Mr Babafemi said NDLEA operatives intercepted the drugs at the Port Harcourt Ports Complex, Onne, Rivers and the Apapa Seaport, Lagos.
The agency stated that Ms Uloma’s 32-year-old daughter, Chisom Uchechi, was also arrested.
He said the arrest followed weeks of intelligence gathering and surveillance operations by the NDLEA’s Directorate of Intelligence operatives.
