Mr Ugbo said that the programme offered an opportunity for the military to cross-fertilise ideas with youths on best ways to use social media.
The group also alerted the President of an alleged plot to attack some communities in the area.
“While culpability has not been conclusively established against the traditional ruler, there is insufficient evidence to exonerate anyone at this stage,” said the army.
“The bravery and dedication of our troops in the face of danger are testimonies of their unwavering commitment to protecting the people and communities,” said the army.
“We need to take out these weapons in our midst; we need solutions; we need to think out of the box so we can take away these weapons.”
The Maru LGA is one of the hotbeds of terrorism and banditry in Zamfara.
“Any official found culpable of wrongdoing will face appropriate legal sanctions.’’
The army spokesman, Onyema Nwachukwu, disclosed this in a press release issued on Monday.
The army said the operation in Rafin Sariki Village of Giwa Local Government Area was a prompt response to actionable intelligence.
“There is tremendous improvement in security and we will not rest on our oars until peace totally returns,” said the JTF commander.
