On Thursday, the Nigerian Correctional Service, Katsina command decorated 77 senior and middle cadre officers recently promoted.
Mr Nababa admonished the newly promoted officers to brace up for the tasks ahead.
He also added that 700 inmates are awaiting trial in various prison facilities across the state.
“If an offender within Ibadan is being remanded in the Oyo town correctional facility, there may be delay in justice.”
Mr Osanyintuyi said the defendant broke into the barbing salon of one Alao Oluwabunmi, intending to commit a felony, to wit, entering and stealing.
Mr Adebayo was redeployed from Cross River to take over the mantle of leadership in Kwara.
The NCoS boss said stigmatisation of ex-offenders was indeed a challenge to modern corrections.
“The facilities and even the personnel are overstretched, but we are coping and providing long-term solutions to this challenge.
“This has become very problematic. Therefore, we must be concerned about what happens to them while they are there.”
