Dust haze conditions are expected over the North-Central down to the inland and coastal cities of the south.
The Inland and coastal cities of the South are expected to be in a dust haze with improved horizontal visibility.
“For Sunday, thick dust haze is expected to be the prevailing weather condition across the entire country throughout the forecast period,” it stated.
Northern states are expected to be in thick dust haze, with horizontal visibility of less than or equal to 1,000m throughout Thursday.
NiMet also envisaged the inland cities of the South and the coastal region to be hazy with patches of clouds during the forecast period.
NiMet also predicted localised rain showers in Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Rivers and Delta later in the day.
NiMet’s weather outlook released on Wednesday in Abuja predicted moderate dust haze over the northern region on Thursday.
It further forecasted moderate dust haze with visibility values ranging from 2,000m to 5,000m over the North-Central and inland cities of the South.
