35 other ships are expected to arrive at Lagos ports between Saturday and January 25.
The document noted that three ships had already arrived at the ports, awaiting berthing for bulk urea, crude oil, and aviation fuel.
NPA explained that the expected ships carry buckwheat, bulk fertiliser, general cargo, bulk soybeans, fresh fish, containers, diesel, and petrol.
He said that the figure reflects an improved efficiency around port access.
According to him, the lack of strict control had enabled drivers to clone plate numbers.
Mr Oyetola commended dockworkers for their dedication, describing their role as central to Nigeria’s maritime and blue economy growth.
The authorities said that two other ships arrived at the ports, waiting to berth with bulk wheat and containers.
The NPA said the ships will arrive in Lagos from November 10 to 12.
