The Northern Governors’ Forum has gone into a closed-door meeting with the national security adviser and service chiefs in Abuja.

Mrs Tinubu said the younger ones, if well educated, would be able to fit into society and inherit the good legacies the older ones are leaving behind.
Mr Ribadu took over from former NSA, Babagana Monguno, following his appointment by President Bola Tinubu on June 19.
“It is very important that Nigerians are not pushed to the limit where they will abandon their number one responsibility as citizens.”
Mr Monguno said this when he appeared for 2023 budget defence at the National Assembly on Thursday in Abuja.
The NSA said that the political thugs and their sponsors would equally be under discreet surveillance for possible arrest and prosecution.
“The man who succeeded him, one Malam Bako, one of the prominent leaders of the Shura Council of the Islamic State of West African Province, was also taken out.”
The national security adviser clarifies his comments on how Tukur Buratai and former service chiefs utilised military procurement earmarks.
