The Edo assembly declared Mr Obaseki’s Radisson deal as “completely illegal” and “totally fraudulent”.
“The governor is not a true reflection of Edo people. His outburst does not define us,” Mr Ifaluyi-Isibor.
Mr Okungbowa revealed that the cleaners would be paid the N70,000 minimum wage.
Mr Obaseki also commended citizens of the state for supporting, praying and collaborating with his administration throughout his tenure.
“I’m not afraid of the EFCC,” Mr Obaseki declared during the EdoBEST National Results-Sharing Session in Abuja on Thursday.
Mr Obaseki said children were no longer dropping out of school “because once we catch them from primary one, we are holding them until JSS three, so you are not dropping out.”
Mr Obaseki said prior to the coming of his administration in 2016, there was much decay in the civil service
“Any mistake you make will affect you first before others. You will be the first victim,” Mr Obaseki told the civil servants.
“I have been in the APC and I have been in PDP. My role is to sit back and see how I can assist and help, nurture,” said Mr Obaseki.
“I think we should be fair to this current administration that they met a very poor economy,” said the Edo governor.
