The Igbo leader commended Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State for accepting to host the Igbo Day.
Mr Obioha added that grasses and trees had taken over the rail lines.
“He pledged N100 million to the body, which he redeemed when he visited Iwuanyanwu in his Abuja residence,” Mr Ogbonnia said.
Governor Alex Otti of Abia has expressed sadness over the death of a former president-general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Joe Irukwu.
Mr Irukwu, a lawyer, lecturer, author and insurance guru, was the founding managing director of Nigerian Reinsurance Corporation.
The organisation said that it had invited various group leaders in the Southeast to find common solution to the region’s problems.
Mr Iwuanyanwu said the security situation in the South-East was very disturbing, adding that there was a very urgent need for a Peace Summit in Igboland.
He added that there was need for all well-meaning sons and daughters of Igbo land to support his emergence.
