Lagos State Ferry Services says more boats have been deployed for operations ahead of the June 1 proposed ban on commercial motorcycles (Okada).
The council said it has met with the motorcycle association in the area on the development and how to map out other routes to ease movement.
The group said indisciplined and unqualified okada riders have resulted in the death of many commuters in the region.
Many people sustained gunshot injuries after police fired shots to control the irate Okada riders resisting seizure of their vehicles.
The governor urged the Police to enforce the order without compromise.
