The commissioner said the government resolved to relocate interstate buses and traders operating illegally at the location to a more organised location.
Mr Atilola noted that these downstream floods affect communities in the South-West, including Ogun State.
Mr Oresanya noted that relocation had become necessary in response to the flooding situation in the areas.
Ogun residents have been warned residents living in flood-prone areas to relocate to safer locations or higher elevations ahead of the looming flood disaster.
He disclosed that a good amount had been budgeted to give palliatives to residents of the affected area.
Mr Oriyomi called on the government to invest in sanitary engineered landfills, waste-to-compost, and waste-to-energy to save the environment.
“Government cannot be the regulator and driver of the process,” environmentalist Ola Oresanya said.
The Ogun State Government says eateries and petrol stations should open their toilets for public use as part of their corporate social responsibility.
Ogun State Government ordered residents to relocate from identified flood prone zones in five local government areas to a safer place.
