Mr Bakare-Oki said engineers had been working for four to five hours, causing traffic congestion.
“Six trapped passengers were rescued from the Volkswagen commercial bus, while four others were evacuated from the red Tata bus,” the LASTMA boss said.
He also said LASTMA personnel evacuated the accident vehicles from the main carriageway to avoid another accident.
Mr Bakare-Oki said the injured were rushed to nearby Benic Special Hospital.
“The apprehended truck driver was formally handed over to the police for further interrogation and investigation,” the LASTMA boss said.
Mr Bakare-Oki denounced the reckless and life-threatening act of driving against traffic.
According to him, the Ijora under-bridge axis had long served as a criminal enclave, accommodating miscreants.
“The fatal incident occurred along Simpson Street, inward Ikoyi, on Osborne Expressway by the Traffic Light Junction,” Mr Adebayo said.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority said the accident occurred along Ijora Causeway, inward Ijora 7Up.
The LASTMA chief warned that unauthorised identifiers compromise public safety and obstruct effective law enforcement.
