Mr Dantawaye said, “These regulations are designed to protect both motorists and other road users.’’
The CP said the command arrested and prosecuted about 2,176 suspects between September 2024 and January 2025.
Mr Ishola said the 2,176 suspects were arrested for various offences, including murder, kidnapping, and armed robbery, among others.
The CP called on officers to ensure that they were at peace with their wives.
“All protesters in our custody have been released,” said Mr Hundeyin.
The police commissioner held a meeting with the organisers of the proposed protest in Ikeja.
The new Lagos CP took over on September 17 from AIG Adegoke Fayoade, now in charge of Zone 2 Command.
