Lagos CP hails POWA members for keeping home front, supporting husbands

The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Olanrewaju Ishola, has commended members of the Police Officers Wives’ Association for their resilience and taking care of the home front.
Mr Ishola made the commendation on Wednesday, when the POWA’s new chairperson in the state, Abiola Ishola, led her management team on a courtesy visit to the command.
The CP said that the good works by their wives at home was responsible for their peaceful disposition in their workplaces.
He called on officers to ensure that they were at peace with their wives.
He stated, “We are grateful that our wives visit us where we work. POWA members are doing well in keeping the home front, while we do our work. As husbands, we are working for you and children. We seek your prayers for officers. I urge you to tell your husbands to support my administration to succeed in Lagos State. Forgive us for all our offences. Whatever will make POWA succeed in Lagos, we will do it.’’.
The police boss urged POWA members to support their chairperson to carry out her projects that would impact members’ lives positively.
Earlier, Mrs Ishola congratulated the CP for his new posting, stressing that they came to solicit his support for the association.
Mrs Ishola, who pledged the association’s support for the command, highlighted some challenges they requested the CP to help them solve.
While the CP promised to give immediate attention to some of the issues raised, he, however, pledged to address others soonest.
