“The accident was caused by speeding and wrongful overtaking by the victim,” the FRSC commander said.
The medical director said relatives of the discharged passengers had insisted on taking them to Benin Republic for further treatment.
Mr Manga said nine other persons sustained injuries in the accident, which occurred in the Agemowo axis of the road, around 7:31 a.m.
“The man is still on admission at a hospital in Badagry; he will be taken to SCID, Panti, Yaba, when he is stable. He will be charged to court.”
