Mr Edun reinforced the federal government’s commitment to attracting foreign capital.
The public accounts committee chairman said that the violations had negatively impacted the liquidity of the federal government.
Mr Oye also emphasised the need for a commitment to curtail government expenditure, eliminating waste and inefficiencies.
The minister said mechanisation farming was crucial for agriculture as it would support food production in the country.
He also stated that at the time, Nigeria earned over $80 billion per annum in its coffers, compared to the figure now of around $25 billion.
