The governor said that the gathering was to thank God for the outgone year and to seek divine guidance for the new year.
Mr Aiyedatiwa said the state recorded significant strides in reshaping its educational landscape in line with the seven-point agenda named “OUR EASE.”
The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, also commended the state government for the initiative.
Mr Mimiko stressed that a country that continues to export its brightest minds would inevitably suffer stagnation across its critical sectors.
The speaker felicitated the governor and deputy, wishing them greater accomplishments in the next four years.
Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi, who led the gathering of Ebira indigenes, said they were impressed with the level of development in the state under Mr Aiyedatiwa.
The governor, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the November 16 governorship poll, was at the palace to seek the Akure monarch’s blessing.
The road has claimed the lives of many students.
He said his administration had been changing the face of governance in the state.
Mr Aiyedatiwa, represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, gave the order in a meeting on Friday with the Ondo State Council of Obas.
