Mr Jimoh said the recoveries and arrests were part of proactive efforts to prevent crime and ensure public safety.
Mr Olohundare, however, has ordered that the investigation be intensified to identify and apprehend the senders of the messages.
The police spokesperson encouraged the public to remain vigilant and continue to partner with the police by promptly reporting suspicious activities.
The police command in Lagos on Monday said it has confirmed the identity of officers accused of extorting N3.3 million from a couple in Lagos, and has consequently detained them.

The police said N951,300 in counterfeit notes was recovered from the suspects’ premises during the raid.
