“There is no area we cannot penetrate. Anyone attempting a crime in Lagos will be arrested and prosecuted,” the police chief said.
He said six firearms, including locally made pistols and other dangerous weapons, were seized.
He said that additional patrols, stop-and-search points, response units and security posts had been activated across the state.
Mrs Mustapha said, “Breast cancer is common among women, but the good news is that it can be treated if detected early.”
The police boss said Mr Sowore had been evading arrest.
The police commissioner in Lagos, Olohundare Jimoh, has decorated a fresh batch of newly promoted officers with their ranks.
Mr Jimoh said the command was closing in on Mr Sowore and others accused of coordinating activities intended to disrupt public peace.
DSVA promised to work with the police to get justice for the victims.
The commissioner described the NCS as a “sister agency”, emphasising that both institutions shared a common national purpose.
“We want to warn Sowore and his group to stay away from Lagos or face the full weight of the law,” said the police commissioner.
