The Asagba of Asaba, Epiphany Azinge, called for renewed commitment toward strengthening the historic ties between the Asaba and Warri kingdoms for mutual benefit.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has congratulated the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, on the occasion of his 42nd birthday.
“Nigeria has to be united. People are saying there is religious battle between Christians and Muslims,” Mrs Tinubu said.
“We also see the Itsekiri people as one of the descendants of the Oduduwa.”
The governor noted that the road was critical infrastructure driving the development of other sectors of the economy.
The peace icons are Africans drawn from different backgrounds who have used their talents, positions and resources to build and promote peace across the continent.
“I pray that this will bring blessings to all the recipients…God will give you the wisdom…to know how to use it,” stated the monarch.
Mr Emami mounted stiff opposition to the emergence of the new Olu.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo advised the new Olu of Warri to take to wisdom of elders and unite his people.
The area commanders have been asked to monitor and supervise the men to ensure a hitch-free celebration during and after the coronation.
