The senator expressed confidence that the Olubadan’s experience in governance and traditional leadership would be brought to bear to foster unity among traditional rulers.
Mr Ladoja succeeded Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, who died on July 7, 2025.
The cleric said, “To talk about 2027 now is a disgrace to governance.’’
Mr Aiyedatiwa said the late Olubadan was a silent achiever and peacefully lovely.
Mr Lawal noted that the government was looking at the council as co-partners in the developmental endeavours of Mr Makinde’s administration.
The Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Lekan Balogun, has advised the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) to tackle delays in issuing passports.
The Kano executive council has approved the appointment of Lekan Balogun, the Olubadan of Ibadan, as the chancellor of the state-owned Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education.
Mr Salawudeen, aged 62, was a University of Ibadan trained Veterinary Doctor and ascended the throne in 2006.
“Today, an average parent would not want his or her child to go far away from the home state in the name of national service because of the fear of the unknown.”
