Mr Edafe stated that N2 million was recovered from the suspects.
He also urged the officers to address violations of the ban within their respective areas of responsibility.
The CP gave a breakdown of the recoveries to include four AK-47 rifles, 138 assorted ammunition and cartridges.
Mr Ajaero, who was recently invited by the police over an alleged involvement in terrorism, honoured the invitation in Abuja on Thursday.
The Delta police spokesman, SP Bright Edafe, said the deployment was on the order of the Commissioner of Police, Olufemi Abaniwonda.
Mr Edafe alleged that one of the suspects usually concealed and conveyed the arms from Plateau to Delta.
He noted that the election was generally peaceful.
