Mr Oke-Osanyintolu urged residents to act responsibly, stressing that emergency management was a shared responsibility.
Search and rescue operations are still ongoing at the site, with combined teams of LASEMA, NEMA, and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service.
The director-general of NEMA, Zubaida Umar, described the event as a defining step in strengthening Nigeria’s disaster management architecture.
LASEMA’s permanent secretary, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, gave the assurance on Monday evening in an interview with newsmen at the scene of the Ebute Meta building collapse.
Mr Oke-Osanyintolu said the incident occurred during the decking phase of the construction.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has recovered three dead bodies in the building that collapsed in Ikorodu on Tuesday.
The LASEMA permanent secretary, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, who made this known in a statement, said they got a distress alert at 2:02 p.m.
Mr Oke-Osanyintolu added that the total number of people rescued had increased to 13.
On Tuesday, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency said a minibus collided with a Lagos Waste Management Authority truck.
Mr Oke-Osanyintolu said LASEMA activated the state’s emergency response plans from its command and control centre in Alausa, Ikeja.
