LASEMA says the gas pipeline fire that occurred along Agege Motor Road, Ile Zik inward Agege, has been extinguished, with no casualties recorded.
He described Easter as a time for celebration, reflection, and increased social activities.
Mr Oke-Osanyintolu said the agency’s emergency response team arrived promptly at the scene.
Mr Oke-Osanyintolu stressed the importance of continuous human capital development within emergency management institutions.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has called on residents of the state to adopt positive attitudinal changes to reduce fire outbreaks.
According to the statement, the incident occurred on January 24, prompting the deployment of LASEMA’s Eagle Squad to the scene.
A fire broke out at a residential building on Bola Street, Oyingbo, on Friday.
The governor also advised traders to always prioritise their lives over property during emergencies.
“Evacuation is critical at this stage to safeguard lives and reduce exposure to secondary hazards,” LASEMA said.
LASEMA said emergency teams were working under challenging conditions because of the building’s height.
