According to him, discussions focused on shared security interests, military training, force development, among others.
Mr Oluyede said that improved collaboration with stakeholders was yielding positive security outcomes.
The CDS said the armed forces had recognised that operational effectiveness was closely tied to the trust and confidence of the civilian population.
“The Armed Forces of Nigeria have emplaced robust and proactive measures aimed at preventing attacks during the Christmas festivities,” it said.
The CDS noted that many chronic ailments and specialised consultations expected to be covered under the NHIA framework remained inadequately addressed.

The newly appointed service chiefs have pledged their commitment to securing Nigeria’s territorial integrity.
He urged the new CDS to leverage his extensive experience and expertise in charting a new direction for the military.
Mr Wolimoh welcomed the new service chiefs.
