Police advised the public to approach the state Criminal Investigation Department to make official complaints against Mr. Wakili.
He was released around 7:15 pm on Thursday at Iseyin town, Oke-Ogun.
The men, numbering 13 and travelling in a truck, were found with 25 guns and 10 dogs after they were intercepted by the Ido unit of Amotekun.
“The buck of this load of correction and restoration of sanity lies in the hands of parents,” police spokesman said.
His killing follows a frightening trend of murder of political figures in the country of late.
One officer said the Force Headquarters sent a signal that they would be paid before the election.
