Moved by the police’s denial, Mr Temokun explained that #EndSARS protesters were arrested in several states and not only in Lagos.
“One Inspector Adabo Mohammed was dismissed for the offences of criminal conspiracy, armed robbery/kidnapping.”
However, the section of the law Mr Adejobi relied on was repealed by the National Assembly three months ago.
“An unconditional withdrawal of all false and malicious publications made of and concerning the WAEC result of our client.’’
He urged the personnel to employ other anti-crime strategies aimed at maintaining peace and ensuring public safety throughout the country.
“A private person who arrests a suspect shali immediately hand over the suspect so arrested to a police officer or…nearest police station,” said the Police Act 2020.
“We shall tell Nigerians if the security situation is worrisome.’’
He appealed to Nigerians, especially the youth, to use the slang with caution.
The police noted that it got intelligence that the slogan emanated from a revolutionary sector.
The police spokesman said the police were making efforts to apprehend others involved in the attacks.
