Joseph Aremo, chairman of the commission and chief returning officer, said the APC also won all the councillorship seats in the 16 LGAs.
Oluwatuyi Adekanmbi, a chairmanship candidate in Akure South LGA, said they were disappointed by the PDP’s leadership decision.
Mr Aremo said the commission had also met with stakeholders that were key to the success of the election.
This was disclosed in a statement on Tuesday in Akure.
ODIEC’s spokesperson, Joseph Aremo, announced the indefinite postponement of the polls, citing political parties’ non-compliance with guidelines.
The decampees had cited internal crisis and political bickering within the party for the action.
