Mr Ogalla urged the troops to remain resolute and focused while emphasising the need for synergy among security agencies in the theatre.
Mr Ejodame said the operation was conducted on Monday.
The troops said the airstrikes led “to the reduction in terrorism and other forms of cross-border crimes perpetrated by criminals crisis-crossing the borders to evade justice.”
He said the air component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) executed airstrikes near Arina Woje on Friday.
According to Mr Yahaya, the insurgents and terrorists no longer have freedom of action.
The commander described the policy as a positive step, adding that it has mitigated terrorists’ activities since its inception.
The change followed the recent redeployment of officers of the army to various units, commands and theatres across the country.
The troops also apprehended 18 terrorists, 21 logistics suppliers, two foreign informants and five kidnappers during the period.
the interdiction mission was conducted by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) at Mantari village in Gezuwa general area, Bama Local Government Area of Borno.
The troops also apprehended 22 terrorists including four commanders and 18 collaborators within the theatre during the period.
