The Nigeria Union of Teachers in Enugu has urged the federal government and security agencies to secure the immediate release of teachers and pupils kidnapped in Oyo.
He also addressed a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, calling for intervention.
Mr Olayinka stated that the suspects were cooperating with investigators as inquiries progress.
He said the government is working to eliminate bandits and terrorists across the country.
According to him, outreach programmes provide opportunities to render essential healthcare services to underserved populations.
He said the situation had left many residents in fear and uncertainty.
For over 17 days, the terrorists have kept the abducted schoolchildren and teachers in captivity.
Mrs Alamu’s plea comes 13 days after they were abducted.
The governor lamented the recent abduction and killing of teachers in Oyo State.
On May 15, gunmen abducted pupils and staff in Oriire LGA schools.
