A Jos magistrates’ court on Tuesday sentenced a 22-year-old trader, Nasiru Adam, to three months in prison for snatching a phone from a man driving in traffic.
The NHFSS commander said most of the complaints were on animal theft, phone snatching, rape, kidnapping, women trafficking, among others.
It demanded the outcome of research supported by the state government, being handled by the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH).
Mr Yusuf said that major streets in the metropolis had been lit up after eight years of darkness as the lamps were switched off.
