Godwin Edoh, a member representing the Agatu constituency in the state House of Assembly, also confirmed the attack but put the number of victims at 12.
“He was fighting with his wife, and he stabbed her during the fight, and she died,” the police spokesperson said.
Mr Anene said that the command was in the know of a planned protest by a group of persons in the state.
