“We are going to do things to Nigeria that Nigeria is not going to be happy about,” Mr Trump warned President Bola Tinubu.
The ongoing U.S. government shutdown has become the longest in U.S. history, reaching its 36th day on Wednesday.
ECOWAS called on the world to stand by Nigeria and other countries in the region in their fight against terrorism.
“It’s impossible for there to be a religious persecution that can be supported in any way, shape, or form by the government of Nigeria at any level,” the minister said.
