“Take notice that the appeal/motion will be listed for hearing before the Supreme Court of Nigeria sitting at Abuja on Monday, 23rd day of October 2023.”
My decision to go to court is anchored in my belief that the court is the sanctuary of justice.
A panel of appellate jurists affirmed the February 2023 declaration of Bola Tinubu as the winner of Nigeria’s presidential election on Wednesday night.
“We note also the needless lavish showering of praises on the legal counsels of both APC and Candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the retired Justice.”
The five-member panel presided over by Justice Haruna Tsammani reserved judgment to a date that will be communicated to parties after parties adopted their final written addresses.
The documents were admitted in evidence by the tribunal on Friday.
On Monday, APM counsel Gideon Idiagbonya had told the court that he needed just one day to open and close his case since he had only one witness.
After listening to the argument, the tribunal’s lead justice, Haruna Tsammani, ruled that the court would accommodate PDP’s hearing till Thursday, adding two days for the appellants.
The tribunal then cautioned counsels to LP and INEC to cooperate more instead of lamenting and wasting the time of the court.
On Friday, the petitioners called in Eric Uwadiegwu Ofoedu, Lummie Edevei and Ijeoma Osamor as its subpoenaed witnesses before the tribunal.
