At Oshodi, a bus fare to Ajah was N1,500, up from N1,000.
“In June, we were buying a 50kg bag of flour for between N53,000 to N55,000, which has regrettably skyrocketed to between N67,000 to N70,000,” said a baker.
“We do not need so much from the government, if it can address this growing food inflation, we will be grateful.”
Mrs Ativie noted that the price hike was informed by inflation in the country which has heightened the cost of production inputs.
The price has increased by over 40 percent within eight months, according to a market survey.
