The suspects allegedly installed devices to monitor critical infrastructure in Poland, particularly transport infrastructure used to provide logistical and military support to Ukraine.
Poland has requested consultations under Article 4 of the NATO treaty relating to external threats, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said in Warsaw on Wednesday.
French President Emmanuel Macron has condemned the incursion of more than a dozen Russian drones into Polish airspace, calling it “simply unacceptable”.
Tusk stated, “The state must regain 100 per cent control over who enters Poland.’’
Mr Zelensky is expected to meet with Prime Minister Donald Tusk around midday.
