Mr Ajayi said the arrears covered a 13-month period from August 2024 to August 2025.
The next of kin (NoK) also received pensions of their deceased family members under the Defined Benefits Scheme (DBS) in December 2025.
PTAD said that the payment was part of the N32,000 increment approved by President Bola Tinubu.
Isaac Enabhule, the counsel to the judgment creditors, said on Sunday in Zaria the meeting was convened at the instance of the university.
The group appealed to the government to extend the payment of the wage award from three to six months as was done for other regular workers.
“While modalities to recover the overpayment will be worked out in due course, letters to the affected pensioners have been dispatched.”
PTAD has paid an additional nine months of consequential adjustment arrears occasioned by the new minimum wage increase of 2019 to the DBS pensioners.
